Sample Preview

Preview compressed images before committing to a full export.

Overview

Sample preview lets you test your export settings on up to 5 images before committing to the full batch. This gives you a visual before/after comparison so you can fine-tune quality, format, and compression settings without using any credits.

How to Use

  1. In the processing modal, configure your Export Settings (format, quality preset, responsive variants)
  2. Click Preview Sample (available when you have 1+ images)
  3. The plugin exports up to 5 images with your current settings
  4. A side-by-side comparison view opens showing:
    • Original image alongside the processed version
    • File size before and after
    • Percentage savings
  5. Use zoom and pan to inspect detail quality
  6. Click Back to Upload Settings to adjust and re-sample, or proceed to full export

No Credits Charged

Sample Limits

  • Maximum 5 images per sample preview
  • If your batch has more than 5 images, the first 5 are used for the sample
  • Changing export settings resets the sample cache

Sample Cache

Once sampled, the preview images are cached on the server. If you proceed to full export without changing settings, the sampled images are not re-processed — they're used as-is, saving time during the final export.

If you change any export setting (format, quality, responsive variants), the cache is invalidated and you'll need to re-sample.
