System requirements for Picture Optimizer.
WordPress Plugin Requirements

The .htaccess redirect feature (fallback URL rewriting when filenames change) requires Apache with mod_rewrite enabled. On Nginx, equivalent redirect rules must be configured manually.
SaaS Account Requirements
- A Picture Optimizer account at serptransformer.com
- A valid subscription plan with available credits
- An API key generated from your dashboard
Network Requirements
The WordPress server must be able to make outbound HTTPS requests to the Picture Optimizer API endpoint. Ensure your hosting provider does not block:
- Outbound HTTPS (port 443)
- Server-Sent Events (SSE) — long-lived HTTP connections for streaming progress
- File downloads from the API (processed images are downloaded back to WordPress)
Browser Requirements
The plugin modal UI requires a modern browser with JavaScript enabled:
- Chrome 90+
- Firefox 88+
- Safari 14+
- Edge 90+
